NELFA is the European platform of LGBT families associations, bringing together LGBT parents and parents-to-be from all over Europe. NELFA currently represents 23 organisations in 15 European countries with more than 10.000 members. NELFA is a member of ILGA-Europe.

The Network of European LGBTIQ* Families Associations, NELFA, has started a close relationship with lawyers from all over Europe. This was discussed and finally appointed at a meeting of the Euro LGBT Family Law Institute, FLI, in Frankfurt am Main. The main aim is to support rainbow families with legal struggles, especially by sharing legal cases and best practices in strategic litigation, as well as serving as a roster of qualified attorneys by region and nation to handle cases for rainbow families.
De Portugese voetbalclub Benfica lanceerde onlangs een mooie campagne: in een videospotje lieten ze verschillende soorten families en gezinnen zien. Ook gezinnen met twee vaders. De boodschap was: het draait om de liefde, in welke vorm dan ook. En hoe je gezin er ook uitziet, als gezin kun je korting krijgen op voetbalwedstrijden van Benfica.
The seminar in Helsinki is aimed specifically at the experts and activists working in LGBTIQ+ advocacy, but it’s open for anyone interested! The seminar will provide LGBTIQ+ advocates with knowledge about the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), periodical review process and the communications to the Committee.

Today, NELFA published its first scientific report. I’ts a legal analysis of the Coman judgment before the EJC and its implications. It was written by Alina Tryfonidou, a new supporting individual member of NELFA (Prof. at University of Reading).
