News update from the NELFA board

The most important topics:

NELFA Conference
You will get very soon detailed information about the upcoming Rainbow Families Conference, hosted by ILGA-Portugal on 16th March 2018 (whole day). For the conference you will also get a little registration survey. The programme is roughly prepared and we will spread out venue, title and agenda as soon as possible.

Membership
NELFA is still growing. We welcome wholeheartedly a new supporting member: Open Mind Spectrum Albania (OMSA). Currently, NELFA has 24 full members and 5 supporting members.

Our new full member Dugine obitelji recently published the very first rainbow families children’s book in Croatia. It was a success and the book got a lot of media coverage. Now, they would like to create versions in other languages. If you want to support the project, just follow this link.

Our Spanish full member Galehi wants to stregthen the ties to Rainbow Families abroad. Actually, our friends would like to find ten partner families from all over Europe for common activities. You find a corresponding registration form here (in Spanish and English).

Rainbow Family Meetings
NELFA would like to prepare a little European Rainbow Families Meeting in Berlin on 28/29th of April 2018 (Saturday and Sunday). Our German member LSVD (in Berlin-Brandenburg) will provide help and space (in the Rainbow Family Centre). If you and your members are interested to take part, please send us an email to “secretary@nelfa.org” (first deadline: end of February). Then, it will be easier to find a nice programme! We created a little Facebook event, to spread the news. To be honest: We can’t cover any costs, we just want to use an opportunity to come together! And have already a closer look at this Rainbow Family Fun weekend in Denmark (Aeroe Island) – from 19th to 25th August 2018. We are in contact with the organisers and will discuss a possible cooperation.
