Hello you! future dad(s)!

Hello there!

The time has come and I’m looking forward to build a family. I’m Léa, French, 35 years old, single. Born and raised in Paris, but half of my roots are in Corsica. I’m a digital art director in an advertising agency in Amsterdam. I moved to the Netherlands five years ago and I decided to stick around. Apologies, I don’t speak Dutch (yet), and I’m running out of excuses to explain why I still didn’t get started to learn.

Why I’m seduced by the coparenting format? I’ve always considered this, since my young adulthood, I never managed to clearly picture my future with a conventional family, probably because I come from an unconventional family. My mum is gay, she raised me as a single child by herself, and my father was abroad.
Also, the coparenting format seems to me to be very healthy, I believe that every family member should be able to breathe and take care of him/herself as an individual in order to take care of the others.

Ideally I would love to have two kids. I’m not looking for a donor but to create a family. I wish our kids will be surrounded by love and stability, that us, parents, we become good friends, that we can rely on each other and that we can share some memorable times together, as a family. I’m open to discuss the ratio of shared-responsibility.

Important family values for me: Tolerance, open-mindedness, emotional intelligence, arts, communication and support, a lot of love and a lot of fun!

About my personality, my friends would say that I appear as a ‘strong’ woman, supportive, thoughtful, easy-going, and fun. I see myself sometimes unreasonable but always responsible, a bit extravert, I’m dedicated and loyal. Music, visual arts and travelling are important to me. I like to party and dance sometimes and having long dinners with my friends and/or family. I love to host them as well. In another way, I also enjoy a lot being by myself.
